Closure of City of Yuba City Facilities
Due to the Advisory of the Sutter Yuba Bi-County Public Health Officer
Yuba City, CA - To minimize the spread of COVID19 and in response to the Public Health Advisory issued by Sutter Yuba Bi-Counties Health Officer Dr. Luu, today, December 4, 2020, the City of Yuba City will be reducing service levels, and closing access to City Hall and other facilities as of Tuesday, December 8, 2020:
• City Hall – Closed to the public, most city services available by appointment only. Appointment contact numbers will be posted to the website at www.yubacity.net.

• With cash at CVS and 7-Eleven (during store hours)

Development Services Department, Inspections and Permits processing will continue to occur on a limited basis by appointment only. Appointment contact numbers will be posted to the website at www.yubacity.net.
City Council meetings – Due to COVID-19, residents are encouraged to attend the City Council meeting via web conference or submit comments by email. Consistent with public health guidelines for social distancing, seating is available in the Council Chamber and the Sutter Room as appropriate. If an attendee does not have a facial covering, one will be provided. Comments may be made either at the Council Chamber podium or from the Sutter Room. Please participate via web conference or email if you are ill or have been exposed to COVID-19.
Police Department - Police lobby is closed to the public.
No changes to service calls, and referring non-emergency, unknown suspects calls to online crime reporting.
Not providing LiveScan services (until further notice).
Fire Department - All Fire Stations and Administration Building on Clark Ave are closed to the public
Responding to all calls.
Plan reviews and inspections for new construction will remain; however, other permits and inspections are suspended except on a case-by-case basis. Call (530) 822-4614 to set up an appointment.
Public Works Department -
No interruption to water and sewer service – for emergencies call (530) 822-4661
Continue to report issues on the City’s YC311 App (download to your smartphone from the App store).
All current contractor bid openings will occur at the directed time at City Hall in front of the Council Chambers.
Parks & Recreation – Senior Center is closed.
The Gauche Aquatic facility is closed for all swim programs.
All recreation sports, programs, and classes are cancelled/postponed.
Animal Control – Lobby will be closed to the public.
o Animal adoptions by appointment only.
The advisory from the Sutter Yuba Bi-County Health Officer, in effect Monday, December 7, 2020, addresses four elements in limiting exposure:
1) Limit outings outside your home to once per week for essential activities like grocery shopping, getting medications, etc., and do not invite others outside of your home into your home.
2) Revert schools – all grades – back to distance learning.
3) No in-person dining, regardless of outdoor or indoor.
4) Minimizing in-person County, City and other government functions that will not jeopardize public safety.
