For the purposes of establishing employment lists for these positions, the City of Yuba City is now accepting applications:

Public Works Maintenance Worker I
Public Works Maintenance Workers perform a variety of tasks in the repair, maintenance and construction of Public Works infrastructure and facilities. Employees within this job classification may be assigned to the Street Maintenance or Wastewater Collection crews and may be interchanged on crews depending on the needs of the department. 

Park Maintenance Worker I
Park Maintenance Workers performs maintenance, repair and development of City parks, grounds, plantings, street trees, recreation areas and facilities; and perform other related work as required. Employees within this job classification generally work within an established framework of set procedures in performing assigned tasks. 

The employment lists will be used for Temporary/Seasonal employment opportunities for six (6) months.

Seasonal/Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits. Maintenance Workers may be assigned to varying work schedules and weekend work.

HIRING PROCESS:

2. Attend Hiring Event

Candidates submitting their application in advance will have the ability to choose a testing window. Walk-in candidates will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. Valid photo identification is required.

3. Employment List

Successful candidates will be placed on a Seasonal/Temporary employment list for six (6) months. Top candidates will be invited to initiate the pre-employment screening process. 

NOTE: DOJ background (fingerprinting) and drug testing are required for City employment.
