TRIP REFUND POLICY - Trips that include ticketed events will only be refunded if notification is received 7 days in advance, and the spot can be filled. All refunds are made at the discretion of the Department and a $7 administration fee per trip per person will be applied.

Grey Fox Vineyards

Enjoy a tasting and tour of Grey Fox Vineyards, located in Oroville’s countryside, and learn about their wine-making process, crafted in the old world tradition. Offering four main estate grown varietals: Sangiovese, Syrah, Barbera, and Zinfandel—very suitable to our warm climate. Smaller plantings of Grenache, Mouvedre, Dolcetto, Muscat and Viognier finish out the vineyard and allow for some creative blending. Lunch afterwards at Acorn Café, included in price.

Fleet Week San Francisco

Throughout Fleet Week, thousands of visitors climb aboard amphibious carriers, destroyers and cruisers docked at the Embarcadero to get a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of sailors serving in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and the Royal Canadian Navy. Turtle Bay Exploration Park— Sundial Bridge

Designed by Santiago Calatrava the Sundial Bridge is an architectural marvel! The glass decked, cable-stayed cantilever suspension bridge reaches 217 feet into the sky and, spans 710 feet across the Sacramento River, and is the world’s largest working sundial. We will also have time to explore Turtle Bay Exploration Park and Museum, Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Lunch is included at Mosaic Restaurant.

With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge that happens to be owned by their former army commander. The CHP Museum

In addition to preserving and protecting the history of the California Highway Patrol, the CHP Museum strives to educate visitors about the rich past of the CHP and how it evolved to meet the changing roadway systems in this country since the inception of the motor vehicle. We also strive to honor those who have given their lives in service to the California Highway Patrol and the people of California. The tour will also include training sites such as the shooting range, and the Emergency Vehicle Operations Course where cadets practice driving in challenging conditions. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch and some time to walk around Old                               Sacramento. Lunch included in price.

The Oakland Museum of California is one of the top rated Bay Area museums to explore California art, history and natural sciences. On the highlights tour, our docent will introduce us to the museum’s history, architecture and collections, visit the museum gardens and at least two of the three main galleries that explore the art, history and natural world of California. On display in the changing exhibit will be No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man, which will feature the artwork and large-scale installations from one of the most celebrated cultural events in the world-the week-long Burning Man festival. Lunch afterwards included, at Scott’s Seafood restaurant.
