Natural Wonderment: Stewardship, Sovereignty, and Sacredness exhibit;

A selection of 30 photographs by Matika Wilbur depicting the Native American's connection to land will be on display.  In an attempt to abandon stereotypes and build cultural bridges, the project "honors and seeks to protect ancestral ways of life and lands in North America." Wilbur spent over a year photographing members of roughly 300 sovereign nations throughout 40 states, including Arizona, California and Alaska.  Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County, 1333 Butte House Road, Yuba City.  No fee is required.  For more information, visit www.project562.com / or www.suttercountymuseum.org

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Movies in the Park; 
Join us at the Gauche Aquatic Park for a the original "Jumanji" movie.  The movie starts 15 minutes after sunset (around 8:30 p.m.).  Concessions available for purchase from Iced Islands and the Youth Commission. Aug 25th,
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Yuba City is hosting its 17th Annual Brews, Blues & BBQ;
8:00 p.m. at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds.  The event's presenting sponsor is Colusa Casino Resort.  There will be over 30 micro brews, water, soda, wine, blues music, and a rib cook-off.  Included in your ticket price, you can have a half slab of St Louis style ribs, or your choice of a tri-tip sandwich with cole slaw, beans and bread, or a 7" gourmet personal pizza and of course your beverage of choice.  For more information call 530-218-3847.

Shakespeare Readers Theatre;

Shakespeare Readers’ Theatre will help you see why his plays have been so popular for over 400 years. Readers meet, read Shakespeare’s plays, and learn as they are broken down into easy-to-understand language by local playwright and Poet Laureate, Jonathan Kinsman. Marysville Stampede & Cattle Drive;
The Marysville Stampede produced by The Flying U Rodeo is an annual celebration of our Western and rodeo heritage and is a wonderful source of affordable family entertainment. Many of the proceeds of this event benefit the community with support of the Yuba County and Sutter County Sheriff’s Posses, the Marysville Fire Department, the Elks Lodge, the Lions Club, local schools, and other non-profit organizations. 7th Annual YCPOA PIG Feed;
